There are four things we can do to trust God’s timing.
REVIEW: Practice gratitude.
- READ: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
- DISCUSS: What are three things you are thankful for that happened in the last week?
REVIEW: Stay connected.
- READ: Galatians 6:2 “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”
- DISCUSS: Who are the people you are completely open and honest with?
REVIEW: Don’t give up.
- READ: Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
- DISCUSS: What relationships or situations are wearing you out right now, and what would it look like to invite God into those places and consistently rely on his strength and grace?
REVIEW: Take care of your soul.
- READ: Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
- DISCUSS: Does your soul feel healthy and fulfilled, tired and empty, or somewhere in between? What do you need to do to pursue or protect the health of your soul in this season of life?
ASK:
What else did you get from this week's sermon? What actions or next steps can you take to apply it to your life?
PRAY:
For the Holy Spirit to produce gratitude, connection, perseverance, and holiness in our lives.
