We can learn to be grateful from how Jesus died for us.

- DISCUSS: What has been one time you volunteered to serve someone else, that ended up bringing you joy as well?
REVIEW: Jesus selflessly died for us.
- READ: Hebrews 12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”

- READ: Hebrews 9:22 “In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.”
- DISCUSS: How have you developed gratitude through the pain or struggles in your life?
REVIEW: Jesus victoriously died for us.
- READ: Colossians 2:14-15 “He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.”
