What we do
Exploring the heart of our church's mission, our ministry areas offer a unique blend of engagement and growth opportunities for every age and season of life.
Ministry Areas
Core
Core helps people to get connected, learn the heart behind our mission, and understand how Definition Church can partner with them on their spiritual journey.
Core takes place every Sunday following each of the experiences. The central passion of our church is to help people be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did in every area of their life.
Definition Kids
Church is for the whole family. Definition Church's Kids Ministry is dedicated to providing a loving and secure community where children grow in their relationship with Jesus.
The Sunday experiences offer age-appropriate environments, from 6 weeks to 5th grade, where kids engage in worship, groups and discuss tailored Bible lessons. We have specialized environments for each age group, including Kids Unlimited for children with special needs. We prioritize helping kids experience the love of Jesus while supporting parents in their faith journey, making church a meaningful experience for the whole family.
Definition Youth
We believe there is no junior Holy Spirit, so we want our next gen to experience the same thing as our adults and to grow in their faith as they are learning to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.
Definition Youth is our middle school and high school ministry. We have weekly gatherings on Wednesdays with games, worship, inspiring messages, and group discussions. On Sundays, our youth actively serve in our kids' ministry and attend services together. During the summer, we provide an 8-week internship called 252, focusing on the holistic growth of teens. We also support students through important transitions with specific events for rising 6th graders and senior graduates. Our commitment is to nurture the next generation, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus and live out their faith daily.
Definition College
Definition College is more than a ministry - it’s a family. In Definition College students discover a supportive family away from home during their transitional college years.
This ministry is dedicated to providing a place where every college student and person of college age can feel connected and encouraged in their faith journey. The heart of Definition College lies in The Collective, a weekly Monday night gathering where students engage in insightful teachings and foster connections in groups, making it an ideal starting point for those new to college ministry.
Beyond The Collective, students can join the Student Outreach Team, committed to spreading the message of Jesus on college campuses. Definition College also offers College 252, a ten-week discipleship program in the summer, promoting intentional community and deepening devotion to Jesus during the summer. Aspiring leaders with a passion for college students can step up and lead groups during The Collective by completing the application. Definition College is determined to empower and equip students to be impactful leaders on their campuses and in their faith.
Residency
The Residency Program is a transformative opportunity for aspiring ministry leaders, offering a full-time, two-year apprenticeship including hands-on experience.
With a focus on empowering and training emerging leaders, this program equips them to become effective, mission-minded leaders for the future of the church and the world. The residency revolves around three foundational practices: ministry experience, mentorship, and ministry training. First, residents engage in ministry experience by working alongside Definition Church staff on college campuses. This real-life ministry exposure allows them to develop outreach, lead teams, and leave a lasting impact. Second, mentorship is a key aspect of the program, providing residents with weekly meetings to receive feedback, guidance, and discipleship. Finally, ministry training in partnership with the Cultivate Leadership Institute offers weekly classes to enhance leadership skills and tackle real-life ministry challenges.
The Residency Program is fully support-funded, meaning residents are responsible for raising their own salary through fundraising efforts.
