- DISCUSS: What steps are you taking to intentionally and selflessly serve other people?
REVIEW: We can honor Jesus with our friendship.
- READ: John 15:13 "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
- DISCUSS: There were four aspects of friendship mentioned: time, vulnerability, rich conversation and trust. Which of these four things do you currently experience the most with Jesus, and which needs the most development?
REVIEW: We can honor Jesus with our worship.
- READ: John 12:3 "Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet with it, wiping his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance."
- DISCUSS: Three ingredients of worship were highlighted in this message: awe, surrender and sacrifice. Which do you engage in most often, and which least? What can you do to practice the least-experienced more often?
ASK:
What else did you get out of the sermon this week? What actions or next steps can you do to start applying it to your life?
PRAY:
For the desire and understanding to honor and please Jesus above all else.
