Jesus makes two statements that reveal God’s heart toward humanity.
Review: Jesus is the gate.
- Read: John 10 :9 “Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be
saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.” - Discuss: How have you tried to get to God apart from the free invitation of
Jesus (e.g. working hard, being good, etc. ? - Discuss: What are some of the ways you have personally experienced
God’s goodness because of Jesus?
REVIEW Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
- Read: John 10 :14- 15 “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and
they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I
sacrifice my life for the sheep.” - Discuss: What are the characteristics of a Good Shepherd? How has
Jesus demonstrated those characteristics to you? - Discuss: Are you walking with God? How do you know?
