Hurricane Helene Relief

Like many of you, we are seeing the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene play out just West of us. This has impacted many close friends and family of those in our church. We also have ministry partners in the area who are struggling and have lost so much. Many of you are asking, what can we can do? We have compiled a list of just a few ways you can do what Jesus did - serve and give, to bless those affected by this event. As we’ve talked to ministry partners in the area, please know if you can’t participate in these ways, there will be other opportunities in the coming weeks and months so stay tuned! Let’s continue to pray together that God would do a redemptive work and turn suffering into something glorious as we serve as his hands and feet.

We will also be taking supplies with us that they have asked for. You can find the list here: View Supply List.
Please bring all supplies this Sunday (10/6) and we will collect them in the Main Lobby.

‍Other Volunteering and Aid Opportunities:

• Feeding Sites (Baptists on Mission): There are three feeding sites in Arden, Marion, and Boone that are accepting volunteers and supplies. Volunteers are needed to help feed those without food and water. Please contact Chris Barrans at cbarrans@definition.church if you are interested in serving in this way.
• Samaritan's Purse: Volunteer opportunities in Asheville and Boone for debris cleanup, roof tarping, mud outs, and tree work. No training necessary. Volunteer here.
• Operation Airdrop: Drop-off site in Concord for supplies. Pilots are flying supplies daily. More Info.
